Come and let us explore together the vision of heaven, the place where we will live forever. Perhaps you have been discouraged, burdened or need to renew your hope for the future. A biblical exploration of heaven can be an ever present life-changing anchor. Be of good cheer, moving day is almost here! Your new home is being prepared for you! Just as in C.S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia our long winter is nearly past and is about to transform into spring. Mapping the Throne Room of God: Did Isaiah, Ezekiel, and John, each give of us a unique puzzle piece to help us picture the throne of God in the heavenly realm? By bringing their visions into harmony, we will envision the scene of God’s throne-room in the kingdom of heaven. We too will join our hearts with the hosts of heaven who adore the beautiful One seated there. (Throne Room presentation by Robert I. Burns) After we explore the reality of heaven together you will take a deeper look at the scriptures using the vital ingredient of imagination to create collaged meditation cards. Imagination should not fly away from the truth but fly upon the truth." (Francis Schaeffer, "Art and the Bible") During the workshop thousands of images will be provided. You will find yourself gravitating toward images that have a personal meaning for you. Through a process of discovery and revelation, adding and subtracting, a larger story, an illuminated image emerges from the layers. The Inspired Collage™ Process: Inspired Collage™ a mini retreat – a spa for the soul. It is a kaleidoscopic blend of practices inspired by Scripture, journaling, meditation, and love for beauty and art. Through the power of images and self-discovery you craft your visual life-journal, creating deeper intimacy with God, yourself and others. Each collaged card is made from chosen scripture, magazine or other found images and any other piece of found art. What you can bring to the workshop: You may have your own favorite scissors, magazines, or beautiful images. Cards can be enhanced with personal photos, found art or any scrapbooking materials you enjoy. A bible is helpful to capture further meaning of scriptures provided. |
